$2 Romantic Date

This candid picture was taken by a staff working at The Pride of Canada Carousel. Looking at how happy we were reminded me that a romantic date doesn’t need to be extravagant with candle light dinners. It is the moment that we share together that makes the experience worthwhile.

We were on our way to another destination when we drove passed the carousel. I said, ‘Stop! What is this place? Let’s go check it out.”

To our amazement, each ride only costs $2. A ticket is issued when you put the money into the machine. Then, you bring the ticket to the attendant. Depending on the time you arrive, it might just be you and your date riding the carousel 🙂 

Did you know?

• It was launched on July 1, 2016 on Canada Day!
• There are by 44 rideable sculptures.
• Meet the creators Patrick Amiot and his wife Brigitte Laurent. 

Thankfully, the carousel is here to stay. It is a permanent property.
